Welcome to humdrumming. Our goal in keeping this blog is to write bad songs.
Songwriting, just like any other skilled activity, takes a lot of practice. No one is born good at it. Especially as a creative pursuit, songwriting suffers when we over-filter. A songwriter that refuses to write bad songs probably won't end up writing anything at all. But if we're willing to lower the bar a few notches, not only will we produce a lot more, but also we'll be free to explore new song styles, musical techniques and approaches to writing. And I bet we'll get much better at writing songs... maybe even good ones.
So, no matter how crappily these songs come out, we will each post one new song a week. This blog is here to keep us honest.
